Dr. Sanja Kutnjak-Ivkovich Elected Second Vice President of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences

Photo of Dr. Sanja Kutnjak-IvkovichDr. Sanja Kutnjak-Ivkovich, Professor in the School of Criminal Justice at Michigan State University, has been elected to serve as Second Vice President of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences (ACJS). ACJS is an international association that fosters professional and scholarly activities in the field of criminal justice. 

In her new role, Dr. Kutnjak-Ivkovich will serve on the Executive Board and take on the responsibilities of the Second Vice-President (2nd VP). The 2nd VP's duties include presiding over Annual or Special Meetings in the event that both the President and First Vice-President are absent. The 2nd VP also chairs the Budget, Finance, and Audit Committee. Additionally, the 2nd VP is next in line to automatically succeed to the office of President if both the President and First Vice-President are unable to complete their terms. After serving as 2nd VP, Dr. Kutnjak-Ivkovich will transition into the role of First Vice-President in the following year.

Over the next four years—spanning from the Second Vice President to the Immediate Past President—I am excited to contribute to the growth and success of ACJS.
